My friend, Aloted, started a prayer challenge, IPray4U, on her blog and I would like to invite you to join in.
It's simple. You write the names of seven people and pray for one of them each day. You can read more about it on her Purpose Driven Blog Please join in if you can :o)
Since my last post, I haven't been able to stop thinking about love and how complicated it gets. Time after time, I have come here, attempting to put down my thoughts down, but all those posts have ended up as drafts because I usually end up with more questions than answers.
Twitter is the new side chick that's keeping me away from my loyal first love, Blogger. Just the other day, I posted these tweets:
I find it easier to tweet than blog these days, so you might want to follow @Gbemisoke , and if you're not on twitter, what can I say? You're probably more productive than I am, seeing as from my experience, twitter is simultaneously the most useful and useless social network ever.
What has been your experience with twitter? Care to share?
Now let's see if I can keep my newly rekindled love for Blogger fresh by attempting to flesh out a couple of those posts still in draft.
Thanks for coming by,
May your dreams come true
xoxo
As for me. Twitter and blogger serve 2 extremely different purposes. They cannot even compete. Blogging for me is serious business and I can't even joke with it
ReplyDeleteYeah, you're right. The way we use these social media platforms depends largely on the purpose it serves. Twitter is to some people what Blogger is to you.
DeleteAs useful as Twitter can be, it can also be a menace. I have to consciously remind myself to run from it sometimes.
ReplyDeletelol at menace. Very true.
DeleteJust started twitting not too long ago, yet to understand what the hype is really all bout since it reduces my thought pattern to a few words, can't really compare it to my blog but then useful if you link all ur pages to it.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know you were on twitter Ma. What's your handle?
DeleteI know quite a few people who use their twitter just to promote their blogposts. It wouldn't hurt to engage though, so it doesn't feel like it's a bot behind the handle.
Twitter has the advantage of delivering news on the go. When a rumor is up and you're wondering "Is that for real?". Twitter will help clarify that in a jiffy (that depends on the credibility of your followers). Its laced with lots of news, short advice, gossips and traffic reports.
ReplyDeleteBlogger on the other hand gives more depth. Want to get people's in-depth opinion about issues? Blog.
New to both but twitter is like the icing and blogging is the cake ;-)
Your icing and cake analogy is spot on!
DeleteThere's only so much you can say in 140 characters.
I am not on Twitter because I feel it is one more distraction I really dont need.
ReplyDeleteBlogging, emails and phone do me oh
I actually long for the days when people were unreachable LOL
Hope all is well
xxxxxxxxxxxx
Those days... I doubt that they'll ever come back lol
DeleteBeing accessible does have its cons... It's easy to get caught up with a lot of activity without productivity... Twitter is a distraction no doubt. I love it still :P
Thanks Sis. All is well.
xxx
i see u are on a roll with the mobile blogging..i shld try it out too..
ReplyDeletethanks for telling ur readers about the prayer challenge...even though it is over anyone can still do it at their own time.
I use both twitter and blogging...not on twitter a lot these days...could be a time waster sometimes
God bless!
